Sustainability and innovation are important mainstays of our operating processes, expressed for example in the following matters:

3D design Construction Information Model (BIM)

The basic idea behind BIM is that there is one central model in which all information on a building is recorded. All relevant documents of all relevant parties are brought together in this central model. This instrument guarantees an optimum process and reduction of failure costs. In addition, it promotes the integrated collaboration between all parties involved.

Holland Virtueel

4D construction site -> 3D drawing is a well-known phenomenon, but we still encounter 4D very sparsely on the market. We use the Holland Virtueel software and thus take the step towards a digital construction site in 4D. This also makes the time and money factors during the entire process visible at any given time.

Prefabricated components

Working with prefabricated components continues to have an ever more prominent place in construction. The on-site construction and installation time is reduced by an integrated and efficient production process in the plant, saving costs. Moreover, using prefabricated components guarantees constant quality since this process is independent from the weather.

Sustainable Integrated Design

Hendriks is an active member of the Sustainable Integrated Design Association (DIO). The association consists of a group of about 20 companies, representatives of knowledge institutions and mentors.
The forces of these companies are bundled in the DIO group with the goal of creating a better sustainable and integrated design for the customer.

ENWIB Energy Neutral Living in Brainport

Hendriks is a partner in ENWIB, a knowledge and skill cluster in which business, government and knowledge institutions participate and collect, share and put knowledge entailing energy-neutral construction into practice.

Nijmegen hybrid district network

With the city of Nijmegen and ARN (waste-to-energy plant) we are participating in a test involving the use of residual heat from the waste incineration installation to supply homes with energy. If the test is successful, 11,000 existing and new homes can be provided with sustainable heating and cooling.

Smart construction for Senior Citizens

Hendriks is affiliated with the Smart construction for Senior Citizens innovation network, where representatives from the entire building chain meet with housing corporations and health care institutions to formulate answers to questions involving joint housing and health care accommodations. The parties use their joint expertise to formulate practically applicable solutions for optimum realisation of senior citizen housing.

Simgy

Cyrille Pennavaire, Hendriks Bouw en Ontwikkeling’s project developer, has developed a dynamic energy simulation model named Simgy. Sigmy simulates the energy consumption of households by using essential factors such as tenant behaviour, housing characteristics and meteorological data. Simgy can also be used to provide insight into the supply and demand of energy flows in smart networks. The Simgy models will be used in Hendriks Bouw en Ontwikkeling’s 12 Cuijk housing units project to provide more support for bringing these housing units with guaranteed monthly expenses on the market.
